Let's walk through ATV Safety, a few ATV How To's, and some frequently asked questions.
Wondering how to dress for ATV Riding? Always wear a DOT-compliant helmet, goggles, long sleeves, long pants, over-the-ankle boots, and gloves when riding ATVs. Protective gear is a must when off-roading.
Never ride on paved roads except to cross, when done safely and permitted by law – another vehicle could hit you.
ATVs, UTVs, and Dirt Bikes are not street legal, that's why Throw Dat Dirt is here in Scotlandville, Baton Rouge - to give you a save haven to ride, rev your engines, and kick up some mud!
Remember to never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Never carry a passenger on a single-rider ATV, and no more than one passenger on an ATV specifically designed for two people.
Supervise riders younger than 16; ATVs are not toys.
Ride only on designated trails and at a safe speed.
Take a hands-on ATV Rider Course and the free online E-Course. Visit ATVSafety.org.

We clean and sanitize helmets before and after each rental. We encourage frequent visitors to purchase a DOT compliant helmet for personal use.
Reservations are required for access.
Failure to return a rented ATV within the allotted rental time period will result in additional charges of $1.00 per minute charged to the credit card on file, starting after the first 10 minutes past due time.
